Ferrite blocks - also known as Ferrite Block, Cube Ferrite, Chunk Ferrite, Block Ferrite, Brick Ferrite, Ferrite Plates, or Big Size Sintered Ferrite — are among Ferroxcube’s areas of expertise. They are used in high-power and EMI shielding applications.

MnZn Block Ferrite Core (a.k.a. Ferrite Block, Ferrite Cube, Chunk Ferrite )refers to a magnetic core material made from a manganese-zinc (MnZn) ferrite compound, typically shaped into a block or rectangular form for use in electromagnetic applications such as transformers, inductors, and noise suppression devices.
Composition: A ceramic-like mixture of Manganese oxide (MnO), Zinc oxide (ZnO), and Iron oxide (Fe₂O₃).
Type: A soft ferrite, meaning it can be easily magnetized and demagnetized.
Electrical property: High electrical resistivity, which minimizes eddy current losses (important at high frequencies).
Magnetic property: High magnetic permeability (μ), allowing efficient magnetic flux coupling.
A block ferrite core simply refers to its geometry — rectangular or square-shaped rather than ring (toroid), E, or U-shaped.
Typical forms:
• Rectangular slabs for custom magnetic assemblies
• Stacked blocks for transformers or chokes
• Machined blocks for magnetic circuits or shielding
